SEAG is an amazing company! My trip with them included a bush plane flight, glacier crossings, beautiful scenery and wildlife galore. The guides were extremely knowledgeable and made the trip so fun. I would definitely go on another trip with them. The owners, Gaia, Wayne and Raven do a fantastic job. Update 8/15/17 to our original 1 Star Post explanation below. We are changing this to a 5 Star Post as St. Elias' Owner did refund all of our money after we explained that we didn't have the refund policy explained to us at the time of purchase and were refused a refund afterwards. The Owner of the Company explained to us that she has now placed a sign in the business that states the Company's refund policy. We were pressured into buying a pre-paid tour. We went on a hike the day before the tour and ended up with a lot of blisters on our feet. When we showed up the day of the tour and explained our situation we were told we would get none of our money back. $160 gone. We are Alaska residents and vacation all over the State. We have been treated amazingly well by all other tour groups. Their "no refund" policy was not explained to us when we purchased the tour and it was not posted in their place of business. We plan to return to Kennecott every year but will not be using this company as they basically stole money from us. We had a two day adventure pack consisting of glacier hike, river rafting, mine tour and bush plane ride. The guides (Julia and Robin) were very friendly and knowledgable. I would recommend anyone visiting McCarthy to consider St Elias Alphine Guide. The only downside was the bush plane ride was jusy 15 min ride. 30+ mins would have given a more better view of St elias and Wrangler national park. I'm sorry if I can contact one of the residents of this town) I just need help! Our experience with St. Elias was fantastic! It was a trip of a lifetime for us. We went on 3 activities... a glacier hike/mill tour, an ice cave exploration and a 4 night base camp experience at Iceberg Lake. The scenery was spectacular and the glaciers were extremely interesting to see up close. The most fantastic sensory experience was being inside the beautiful blue ice cave. The guides we dealt with were so personable and so knowledgeable, answering all our questions on everything. They are clearly able to tailor the various activities to the age and experience of their clients. We have raved over our experiences to all our friends. We will be back.
